Why chose American Stainless Tubing Inc. for your stainless tubing needs?
When you are looking for mechanical or ornamental stainless
tubing there are a variety of factors you consider to find the best
supplier for your production needs. Some of these factors include
quality, safety, competitive price and multiple product options.
Also considered are additional services like polishing, finishing,
cutting and packaging. ASTI is THE “go to” company to meet your requirements.
What does American Stainless Tubing have to offer you?
Long history of quality and service in the stainless tubing industry:
ASTI was founded in 1994 by the original three founders of
Romac Metals Inc. in the 1970’s. Romac Metals, Inc. was the
company the metals industry went to for high quality “mirror”
surface finish for stainless tubing. They pioneered the development
of mechanically buffed, mirror finish stainless steel tubing for
furniture and marine applications. Prior to their innovation,
ornamental stainless tubing was only offered in polished stainless
steel tubing on a commercial scale. Three generations of experience,
knowledge and sustainability in providing quality products and service
has been the integrity of their company mission and remains true today.
ISO 9001:2000 Certification
This certification specifies requirements for a quality management
system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to
consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable
regulatory requirements. It aims to enhance customer satisfaction
through the effective application of the system, including all processes
of documented production procedures for a continual improvement
of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and
applicable regulatory requirements.
Stainless Tubing produced to ASTM A-554 specification
This is a standard specification for welded stainless steel
mechanical tubing, where appearance, mechanical properties
or corrosion resistance in needed.
304/L, 316/L and T-201
304/L: This is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel
that is adaptable for brazing or welding. It is non-hardenable
except by cold working and is non-magnetic except when cold
worked. It is a general purpose corrosion resistance grade of
stainless and is used in many applications, including: dairy,
food processing equipment, structural and ornamental construction,
along with other mechanical applications.
316/L: This is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel
with improved corrosion and heat resistance. It is non-hardenable
except when cold worked and is slightly magnetic when cold
worked. It exhibits improved corrosion resistance to chlorides.
Often it is used in pharmaceutical and textile applications,
as well as salt water marine applications.
T-201: This is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese
stainless steel, developed to conserve nickel and its resulting
price fluctuates. it is quite suitable for cold forming, has excellent
resistance to many corrosive environments. It is often used in food
processing and architectural applications, and in many cases is a
very suitable substitute for 304/L tubing.
